Round and round. Clockwise / anti clockwise?

Work continues to occupy much time this week. 12 hours yesterday and 10 today. It’s swing and roundabouts.

Though I do not want to make this a habit I could not resist scraping the picture below from another site to post here –

L or R

Which way does she go round for you – left or right? Chances are she may well change direction as you think about it. All to do with which side of the brain is doing the processing. You can read a bit more about it here

At first I thought the picture was changing direction. Me and Mrs Monaxle watched it together. We both saw her turning clockwise and anti clockwise at different times though not at the same time as each other all of the time.

  1. Gosh. Try as I might, I cannot get the thing to rotate the other way. I wonder what scientific validity this has? They don’t say where it comes from. Interesting though.

Lovely Femi Kuti photo there, is that one of yours?

  2. I /know/ I replied to this. Hmmm…

Yes, clockwise, although I’m a mathematical and methodical thinker, so that it’s so emphatically clockwise is a surprise. I thought I’d be able to change it, but absolutely no. It’s quite whizzy today, too.
