Had some work in Ipswich in October. That’s not far from Colchester I thought. Another stretch of the North Sea Cycle Route (aka NCR1 in the UK) to get in the bag. Other than from Colchester to the Lee Navigation I’d completed the miles between Dover and Dundee since this time last year. I arranged to meet up with my NSCR amigo Azeem and his buddy Pip. They joined me from Colchester to Hoddesdon before heading back to Knebworth. About 85 miles. Pip did really well as he’d not been riding regularly and this was about twice his furthest distance. He suffered a bit but stuck it out till the end. It was a good day’s riding. Felt good to fill in this missing link. Finished off by following the route back into London, through the Greenwich foot tunnel and home to Chatham.
